    The webmaster of Demented Metal, Bob, and his wife, Becky, have decided to be foster parents for dogs that need a home.  This is a page dedicated to the foster dogs that Bob and Becky have taken in.  The dogs that appear on this page will spend some weeks or up to a few months with Bob and Becky, being trained and socialized.  These dogs are adoptable through the Furry Friends network based out of Boiling Springs, PA:  http://www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/

UPDATE APRIL 24, 2008:

     Meet Isis!   Isis is a 2 year old pure bred Belgian Shepherd Malinois.  [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_Shepherd_Dog_(Malinois)]  Isis has had it pretty rough.  She's been in the shelter since Summer of '07.  She had it a bit rough before that.  Her one ear is 1/2 gone because her Mother chewed it off when she was a pup.  Her tail is also docked, but we're not sure why.  We've had her less than a week, but she's already learning "sit" and "come" very well and walks good on a leash after the initial excitement.  She's still pretty shy and doesn't know what to think of some things.  Our dog, Chase, appears to be showing her the ropes a little bit when we're on walks and is teaching her how to play nice.  We'll get some better pictures of Isis when we get a chance, but for right now, we just have 2 shelter pictures.   Stay tuned for more posts as we get this girl turned around!
